LEGAL DRAFT

Terms & Conditions

Seller and acceptance

These terms apply to Snagit products and services supplied by [BUSINESS LEGAL NAME], registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER]. By ordering or activating a sticker, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

Price, payment and delivery

A Snagit Single costs Rs 1,300 as a one-time payment covering the sticker and private alerts. There is no subscription. Delivery is charged separately by location and shown before checkout. Cash on delivery remains available where offered. Existing orders keep the price accepted when they were placed.

Contact modes

Off makes the tag inactive and shares no contact details. Private keeps the owner's number hidden while Snagit sends the selected reason by flash SMS. Public displays the owner's phone number to anyone who scans. Only the owner can choose Public mode; doing so is consent to that disclosure. Owners can switch modes at any time.

Vehicle owners can separately turn Emergency SOS on or off per tag. When on, a scanner who verifies their own mobile number can see the owner's number; the scanner's verified number is recorded and shared with the owner. SOS does not use the ordinary private-alert fair-use allowance, but has separate limits of one use per hour and three per day per tag. Turning SOS off prevents new SOS requests and number reveals.

Lifetime service and one sticker per vehicle

“Lifetime” means the life of the sticker on its registered vehicle, for as long as Snagit operates the service. It does not mean the lifetime of the owner or of the company. Each sticker is for one vehicle. Using Snagit on another vehicle requires a new sticker. Owners may update their contact number and should deactivate the sticker when the vehicle is sold.

Fair use

Private alerts are subject to a 10-minute cooldown and limits of 5 successfully sent alerts per day, 15 per calendar month, and 90 in each 12-month period starting from activation. Days and months are calculated in Asia/Colombo time. These values are read from the same settings used by the alert service.

When a limit is reached, no private alert SMS is sent until the applicable period resets, the owner is notified once for that period, and the sticker may be flagged for review. Snagit may block abusive scanners, suspend misuse, or grant a temporary exception after review. The separate anti-spam rule also limits one scanner to two alert attempts within 24 hours.

Scanner conduct

Do not send false, harassing, threatening, automated, or abusive alerts, or try to obtain personal information improperly.

Not an emergency service

Snagit is a convenience notification service, not an emergency, security, towing, tracking, or recovery service. SMS delivery depends on mobile networks and third-party providers, so delivery and timing are not guaranteed. In an emergency, call 119 or the police.

Limitations

To the extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Snagit is not responsible for missed or delayed alerts, parking fines, towing, vehicle damage, lost property, or resulting indirect loss. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes or discontinuation

Snagit may change the alert channel, including replacing SMS with app notifications, or change fair-use limits with at least 30 days' notice. If the alert service is discontinued, Snagit will give at least 60 days' notice where reasonably possible.

Earlier alert credits

Credits purchased before this version are retained in account history and replaced by lifetime private alerts. They are no longer deducted while the lifetime plan is active.
