Know before you stick.
Will a finder ever see my phone number?
Not in private mode. The finder chooses a reason and Snagit sends you the alert. If you intentionally switch a tag to public mode, its page can show direct call and WhatsApp options. You can also turn a tag completely off, which shows no item or contact details.
Are private alerts really included for 6 months?
Yes. Every new tag includes an alert allowance designed for 6 months of normal use. If genuine use exhausts it sooner, contact us and we’ll add the credits needed to cover the rest of your first 6 months, subject to our fair-use and anti-abuse terms.
Does the finder need an app?
No. Any modern phone camera can open the QR page in a browser.
Can I use Snagit outside Sri Lanka?
The QR page can open anywhere the finder has internet. Private SMS alerts are currently linked to a Sri Lankan mobile number, so delivery while travelling depends on your mobile network and roaming.
